Our Crawlspace Solutions Service
The crawlspace — that dank, dark space under your home that is generally too low to stand up in but offers access to pipes or ductwork — is not a part of the house that most people think a lot about. But the crawlspace is where your home can develop major moisture problems that can lead to air quality issues, insect damage, wood rot, swelling of doors and windows inside the home, and even health-threatening mold and mildew.
Many homeowners are finding that insulating the crawl space and encapsulating it is a great way to keep the moisture outside where it belongs!
MidSouth Termite & Pest Control, Inc. offers several solutions to reduce the harmful moisture under your home. Moisture can enter the crawlspace through outside air, the ground or through the foundation of your house if it doesn’t have proper drainage. We offer crawl space encapsulation and insulation products that help to seal that moisture out, as well as dehumidifiers, cleaners, pest control supplies and everything else you need to solve your crawl space moisture problems.
Encapsulating a crawl space not only helps stop the moisture that could be causing the growth of mold in your home, but can also lower your heating and cooling bills. That’s because in the summer, hot and damp air from the crawlspace seeps up into your home and makes your air conditioner’s job harder; and in the winter, cold air enters your home the same way and makes heating more expensive. So crawl space encapsulation provides better comfort as well as lower utility bills!
Stop the moisture that makes it more difficult and expensive to cool and heat your home, and could even be slowly destroying your home from the bottom up. Call us TODAY and we’ll get started improving your quality of life. 803-772-3637
Our Unique Approach To Crawlspace Solutions Service
Because insect or moisture related crawlspace issues vary from home to home so do the corrective measures. Some moisture issues are remedied with a simple (not easy) fix. That might be a moisture or vapor barrier or could be much more complicated and need a drainage system with full encapsulation and dehumidifyer. Let’s look at the process…
1. Step One
First we will conduct a thorough inspection complete with wood moisture content measurements. These readings need to be below 20.0% in order to be in an acceptable level. In real estate transactions any readings 20.0% or higher require corecctive measures. In step one, the inspection process, we are also looking for any standing water or signs that there has been standing water in the past.
2. Step Two
In step two we are analyzing the data recovered in step one and beginning to determine the best methods to correct the conditions discovered. Whether a simple moisture barrier or other measures are needed, careful consideration of the dwelling and it’s construction features are important.
3. Step Three
Last we use the process and procedure checklists for the implementation of the solutions for the issues we have discovered. We use only the highest rated suppliers, products and thoroughly trained personnel when it comes to protecting your home.

★★★★★“I called for some information in possibly switching my termite control. Bob Lewis took the time to discuss with me cost and frequently asked questions. He was extremely pleasant on the phone. Although the pricing is only a few dollars more than what I currently pay, I was impressed with the fact that he wasn't trying to "make a sale" and truly put the best interest of the customer first. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company and Bob Lewis!”
★★★★★“Mid south pest control is professionally owned and managed and I am happy to use them to service my home! Bob, Joanie, Mike and all staff are fantastic. I found them through work as my employer uses their services and because I was so impressed, I have them service my home and will continue to. The chemicals are pet safe, I have 3, and have proved tried and true to keep crawlers away. I recommend.”
